Project’s name: WeCAM  We “Count” As Much…..

 

 

Accomplishment to date

 

  • Mentored by the National Disability Federation of Ireland and Inclusion Ireland.

 

  • MDNI  project idea was put forward to the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities ( EASPD) by the National Disability Federation of Ireland, MDNI was selected to defend it’s project idea to other European countries at a seminar held in Brussels 2014. Which was successful.

 

  • We aim to work with other European partners on ideas which will further enhance the life of people with disability in Europe and around the world.

Newly  joint organisation  Migrant & Minority Disability Network Europe(MMDNE) and Vickie Robert Hospitality Foundation for Disabilities (VRHFD) have teamed up to provide expert and compassionate support to People from Migrant /Minority backgrounds.

October 2013- June 2014

 

Migrant  and Minority Disability Network Europe undertook a peer research role with Cultúr Migrants Centre and Meath Partnership on a Baseline Research Report on Ethnic Minorities and the Meath Integration Strategy

  

This research documents the issues experienced by asylum seekers, refugees, immigrants and Travellers living in Co. Meath. The integration strategy is a plan of action to address the issues highlighted in the research and included consultation with key agencies and stakeholders.
